Hard Work Pays Off

To all my immigrant friends out there, make sure that you work hard because the best part about this country is that the harder you work the bigger the reward is. Trust me I know because i went through it and i was promoted about three times and i had to work EXTREMELY hard for raises and when management saw me working hard the paycheck would get big. If you really put your mind to it you can accomplished anything you really want as long as if you are willing to put in the work. Great feeling when you are rewarded for the hard work instead of life handing it to you. Nothing pisses me off more then when someone complains about how hard they had it or that life owes them something. You know life doesn’t owe anyone anything. All you owed is an opportunity and life and in this country you have an opportunity.

Coming to America

Coming to America

America is made up of immigrants to left their home to make a new home. Everyone in America is an immigrant or is related to an immigrant. Christopher Columbus was an immigrant himself who murder all the Native Indians for their resources. As many more thousands of years passed, the descendants of the first hunters moved around North and South America. They settled in small villages and later built big cities. There European immigrants came to make new homes in the Americas. They came in search of a better life—one free of the trouble and hardship they had left behind. In their native countries, they often had little money and could not worship God in the way they wished. The immigrants hoped for freedom and good fortune in their new lives.

Immigration During the Colonial Era

From its earliest days, America has been a nation of immigrants, starting with its original inhabitants, who crossed the land bridge connecting Asia and North America tens of thousands of years ago. By the 1500s, the first Europeans, led by the Spanish and French, had begun establishing settlements in what would become the United States. In 1607, the English founded their first permanent settlement in present-day America at Jamestown in the Virginia Colony.
